One partner, one process: integrating tailored recruitment with expert HR

The Royal Aeronautical Society is the world’s only professional membership association dedicated to aerospace, aviation and space communities. The organisation’s aim is to further the advancement of aeronautical art, science and engineering around the world.

The brief

As a membership organisation the RAeS looks for employees with a range of talents, often needing to combine operational expertise with customer facing skills and with the flexibility be present at its many events.

Against that background, the RAeS wanted a recruitment partner who could offer a bespoke service, but from which it could cherry pick different elements.

The HR Dept – which already provided outsourced HR services to the Society – was a clear choice. Not only would this ensure a seamless transition between recruitment and onboarding, but our model of enabling clients to set their own budget rather than charging a percentage of salary meant the RAeS would have full control over the process and the fees.

The solution

For the last three years, we have worked closely with the RAeS, recruiting for staff across most divisions, from among the most senior positions, including Head of Governance, to membership, marketing and events team roles. We’ve even helped to recruit for more niche roles, such as aerospace research executive.

We attribute the success to our ability to listen carefully to the brief, help create bespoke, attractive advertising for each role, and use our skills as recruiters to seek out and present credible candidates. 

Once reference checked and appointed, we are then able to seamlessly hand over to our HR Dept colleagues for onboarding.

 The outcome
